The clarity and focus I now have, the management of my life and its expectations, the ability to allow things to happen and the ability to reframe things is all thanks to Andrew. When I started working with Andrew I was very lost, the focus was on my career as that is what, I thought, was causing the most pain but felt the most crucial thing in my life being the sole income provider, having to support myself, wife and two children paying the mortgage and all the bills. Andrew took me on a journey to help me re-establish my identity, to see that it was choices and certain beliefs that had put me in the position I was in and that most of it was just my mind set and not the reality of the world. He helped me identify why there were certain roles that I really enjoyed, those that aligned with my values, helped me understand how to process my needs and how certain thoughts were actually causing more problems rather than helping the situation. Things that I can now quickly identify and work through. After many years of just going with the flow, punishing myself for certain actions and ways of thinking, I now have a great focus on the things that are important to me, not just for work and jobs but to balance my life as a whole. I’m able to translate some of the thoughts into far more specific actions. I am able to understand what things are triggers, what to push against and what to not worry about, meaning that I am making much better decisions in the roles I am looking for and taking as well as the things that I am doing outside of work, including spending more time with the family.

Erica Woods is the best life coach I’ve ever worked with, period. Her process is her own, the culmination of life experiences, learnings, and no small amount of hard-earned wisdom. What she does is not taught in school; an aspiring coach can’t acquire it from books or certifications. If you need help grappling with the work + personal aspects of your life holistically, I cannot recommend her strongly enough.
Everyone knows that work and personal life are intertwined. Especially these days, between WFH and devices that enable us to remain “connected” to work all the time. How this constant commingling impacts your mental state and overall health is less obvious. It takes a skilled practitioner to loosen some of the knots and begin to understand how pulling on one string affects all the rest. Erica is such a practitioner. This process is not easy – anyone who can teach people these things at all is part of an elite group. As with any expert, her process appears deceptively simple, even playful at first. It’s only afterwards, looking back and marvelling at the results, that the breadth of her skills become clear.

Being coached by Erica is like nothing else. This wasn’t my first experience with a coach and I can say that her humane approach and experience are unrivalled. Erica coaches from a deep humane perspective, because she brings her whole self into her practice. With her I was able to connect different aspects of my personal and professional lives, which in turn were essential to bringing me clarity and agency.
She uplifted me and grounded me, she showed the way but always let me drive. At the end of every session I felt I had achieved a new level of understanding that allowed me to take practical, confident steps in the right direction.
If what you want is a detached, instructional, exercise and framework based coaching, please don’t contact her (her time is precious!). But if what you are looking for is wise, open-minded, and transformative guidance then I can’t recommend her enough.

“calming and mindful”
Andrew ran a series of weekly meditation sessions at my company. Andrew’s presence alone is very calming and mindful which set a great tone for the session. Andrew was always receptive to the people in the session and tailored the session to meet the people where they are and what would be most helpful for them. Participant feedback was extremely positive.

I have known Andrew as a meditation guide since the beginning of the pandemic, when he ran daily remote meditation sessions open for anyone who wanted to join. For many of us this became an anchor of hope during the harder times of the lockdown. Andrew’s profound knowledge of different meditation styles proved very insightful; he even taught us that meditation, at its core, can be funny and entertaining. With his calm and positive demeanour, he helped each of us get better every day in the face of the constant struggle against daily distractions.

If you are looking to try meditation for the first time or just progressing in your practice (you got stuck? Or you ‘lost’ your practice), Andrew is a great teacher to guide you through the path. It’s not just his profound knowledge (he has a Masters in this!) on how meditation works neurologically, on the best techniques and different approaches, it’s his personal experience and ability to tune in to what is going on with you that makes the difference. He’s no glorified guru sitting on a mountain top looking down on you- he’s real, he’s been through stuff and he can really, truly listen and leave his ego behind to support you. It doesn’t hurt that he’s also extremely funny. In fact, that’s what keeps you coming back to him: his ability to see the humorous side of life, to live in the playfulness and truth of the moment that really seals the deal. Oh, and the little stories. Highly recommend.

I’ve meditated with Andrew consistently for over 2 years. Meditating with his guidance has hugely helped me find more balance and connect better with myself in my busy daily life. We did online sessions and also meditated in person when we had the chance to meet up. Andrew has a calm, kind and genuine personality. His welcoming, curious and non-judgemental manner makes it very easy to open up and relax in his presence. He has often helped me, with his wisdom as much as with his tongue-in-cheek humour. He is very versed in many different kinds of meditation. This has helped me to practice awareness and mindfulness in different ways and always find a fitting approach, wherever I am on that particular day (both spacialy and mentally). Andrew is both a great listener and a great mentor. I’ll happily endorse him and do strongly recommend his meditation courses.

Three times a week I look particularly forward to my lunch break… Because I will do meditation with Andrew. That half hour of Meditation has on some days been a lifesaver and on others a well-deserved break on a busy day. Andrew is teaching style is down-to-earth and practical. Anytime he can and will adjusted to the students needs in that moment in time. As well as offering different styles of meditation, so every student can find something that works for him or her. I could highly recommend doing meditation with Andrew.

When I first joined Andrew’s meditation group during the pandemic, I was skeptical. Meditation wasn’t something I’d ever done before, and the idea of doing it online felt odd to me. However, from the very first session, I realized there was something special about Andrew’s approach. After just a week of daily meditation, I began to feel its deep effects.What started as a tentative 15-minute daily practice quickly grew into a 45-minute session that I looked forward to each day. Andrew’s thoughtful guidance, from deep breathing to loving-kindness meditation, opened up a new world for me. I began experiencing moments of clarity and inner peace that I had never known before, which were key in helping me navigate an uncertain time in my life.
